Dramatic appeal made by HATS

From the archive, first published Monday 3rd Jul 2006.

HASLINGTON Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) is on the lookout for more adult members.

More actors and, just as importantly, 'behind the scenes' help with wardrobe, props, prompting, stage construction and so on are needed.

Anyone interested in joining can call in at rehearsals in the Yoxall Village Hall on Sunday mornings between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

The junior section is thriving as audiences saw at HATS's Summer Show when younger members displayed their considerable talents with three unusual and thought-provoking plays.

Though there are no vacancies for juniors right now, director Monica Griffin says she is happy to put names on a waiting list.

The HATS panto, 'Little Red Riding Hood' is due to be staged in January 2007.
