Cool way to cash in

From the archive, first published Monday 3rd Jul 2006.

YOUNGSTERS from Cuddington Primary School have come up with a novel way to raise money for an African charity.

The Year Three and Four pupils wanted to link the last two term topics of water and Africa and suggested the class held an ice-pop sale to raise some money.

To fit in with the school's healthy eating status, the ice pops are sugar and additive free.

The money raised will go towards the Forever Angels charity.

Forever Angels orphanage, in Mwanza, Tanzania, is due to open in the next few months and will house 20 babies and infants.

Ben Hilton, Nicole Alexiuk, Charlotte Howard, Charlie Austin and Bethany Cerro-Hughes, get ready to sell the ice pops. c062733
