Newsquest aids floods appeal

Newsquest Media Group, owner of the Messenger Newspaper Group, is donating £10,000 to the British Red Cross National Floods Appeal.

The UK's second-largest regional multi-media publisher has a number of titles in the areas most affected by last weekend's flooding, particularly in Worcestershire. Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Herefordshire.

The Red Cross appeal was launched on Tuesday and has already raised in excess of £300,000.

The Red Cross is working in partnership with local, regional and national government and other agencies to maximise the impact of the appeal. A number of Newsquest titles are backing the National Floods Appeal.
